35 Conferette means music. Starts on Thursday, ends on Sunday. Stages. Outside, inside, in bars, in restaurants. It's little D's big weekend.

They're coming up from Austin, they're coming down from Tulsa, they're coming out of the classrooms and the churches. They're gonna play on the Square. They're gonna play in the bars. It's going to be very noisy in Denton this weekend. Musical. Very musical. How are 200 bands going to find room to play in this cute little university town? They'll do it! And we'll love it!

Denton

Denton is the home of the University of North Texas and Texas Women's University. As far as music goes it is famous for the 1 o'clock jazz band and our very own Brave Combo, who can turn a traditional Christmas Carol into a polka rhythm. Denton is also where Norah Jones and the Eagles started and musical claims to fame go back to Pat Boone. Even when a mega-festival isn't going on, live music can be heard somewhere every night.

Stages

Three outdoor stages, and every bar and restaurant in Denton has a piece of the action. A few on Thursday, a few more on Friday and by Saturday the whole town will have joined in. Sweetwater Grill has bands, Dan's Silverleaf too, so has ... well, ... start walking and follow your ears.
